Polymer Clay Santa
Christmas is coming and I have been having a ball or should I say bell? I made this cute Santa Claus sitting on a bell to use as a Christmas Ornament. I used glitter red, white, black and flesh colored polymer clay. I built him on top of the bell to give the piece some interest.
I have so many more ideas and would love to hear or see any of your Christmas ideas with polymer clay!

Mixed Media On Muslin
I love doing Mixed Media on so many different surfaces. I like to show other Artists that you don’t have to be stuck by not having canvas or the normal to do Art. I took a piece of thick Muslin and ripped some stitches from all sides to give it the raggedy look and then painted yellow.
Once the paint was dry I layed a full stencil down and used Faber- castell black gelato in the middles and sprayed glitter mist all over the full stencil and let it dry. I love this messy part t is beautiful, but i love to add more and more!

My favorite thing is the gelatos. They go on so easy and have so many different applications that you can really go crazy. I will say I did restrain myself from going wild and I sprayed my fabric with water and then added different pinks all around and used my brush to disperse their color and add depth. I then outlined the stencil (which was a rose) with the Faber-castell pitt Artist Pen in dark pink to make the roses stand out more.Drawing is one of my favorite things to do so I thought I would add a quick drawing I did and kind of colored her in a bit playing with ideas. Once I had her drawn I then cut her out and glued her down to the muslin. I painted her with acrylic paints to add more depth to her look.
One of my favorite things to do is add quotes. I use them on paintings, in my journals and in my every day life. Anais Nin is one of my favorite poets and a quote I live by and by which made me try out for the Design Team was the quote I used on my project. “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” I added that and a few embellishments to her in her hair and around her neck for a few extra “Kelly touches” I call them. I love the way it came out and it will hang on the wall by my desk to remind me to take one risk a day and not be afraid.

Tuesday Schmoozeday and Magic Transfer Paper
This past week has been so much fun for me. I have had the fun experience of using Magic Transfer Paper. It is a paper you print on using a laser printer and then add your picture to raw clay and burnish it, run under water and the paper melts away. You then bake your item and it is magical. I showed the process on my Tuesday Schmoozeday live show as well as how to use crayons as a background and some other fun things! Here is the link Kellys SHOW
I am now experimenting for other ways to use the Magic Transfer Paper and as I have success will share it with you all.
Tuesday Schmoozeday is not on this week due to the holiday but will return on November 27. Please join us for more fun and creativity then! Remember http://craftylink.com is free to join and so are our live shows and all replays plus many other things. You must be a member and join the Tuesday Schmoozeday group to watch live or the replays of shows. You can also find Magic Transfer Paper HERE
