Alot of people have been wondering about waxing pages after your done with them. There are so many different ways and techniques to do this. I have been doing it this way for years on wood, canvas and canvas boards. Art journaling has been the new craze with waxing and so someone requested me to do a video of my way of doing it. It is a lot of fun and easy to do. You can embed pieces in it and really get great effects. I use beeswax as I explain in my video. I hope you learn something new and please, if you have ANY questions, just ask! I always love to say “If I can do it, so can YOU!”
Here is the VIDEO
I know-I know- Every month it seems lately that I am doing Halloween Projects. But I love them and they sit in my house all year long. I have found I am not the only one who does this so my weirdness isn’t all that weird! THIS is why I love Amazing Mold Putty and Resin.
My husband has a figure that sits in his office. I stare at it every time I go in there and think…I want to mold that! Well he finally gave in and let me but scared me so much about the figures hair I kinda held the mold a bit cock eyed and one arm did not form well. (DO NOT WORRY HIS FIGURES HAIR WAS NOT HARMED! LOL)
But that did not bother me-it gave the figure much more of the look I love! Here is my mold
Once I took it out of mold I poked holes in it while a bit pliable. Then I gave it a dry brush of white paint, black eyes and red in his mouth and dripping out. I added wool hair, green of course, and added wire so I could hang him. He is now hanging in my Art room in front of me inspiring me as I work! Here are my finished pictures. If you have not tried this product it is amazing. The things you can make and do with it will amaze you! It is one of my favorite Craft items.
I was quite impressed an artist I discovered on World Scrapbooking Day. He is a 13 year old young man named Tanner Bob Bell and he was the artist who was on before me while I was waiting for my turn to do my demo for THE CHARITY WINGS ART CENTER on Cyncronicity Live on Linqto. (replays under discussions on that page-SO MANY ARTISTS DEMOING!)
I think all of us women watching in the room that day felt as if we were each his aunt. He is such a bright and talented young man, and I haven’t even begun to start on the business part of what Tanner does.
He has a great blog, several YouTube (alot of videos on here) MR CRICUTCRAZY videos, and his own stamp line! He’s a wonderful photographer and an expert crafter. I can go on and on about him, but rather than that, please go and check out his blogs and videos to see for yourself. He is so creative and fun. Neither of my children have shared my enthusiasm for arts and crafts; they are writers and readers, which is wonderful too, but to see Tanner do his cards and talk about his art and be so educated in what he is doing and knowing what he wants to do is amazing to me. I am doing my best to get to CHA this winter so I can meet him and so many of the other fantastic people I know and have become such good friends with through Facebook and Arts and Crafts.
You can watch all of the World CardMaking Day with so many Artists HERE– Cynthia Gagen hosted it and it was 2 days of pure fun and for a great cause!!!!!!
