• MY DESIGN TEAMS…AND A NEW ONE!

  I have been Blessed to be on 2 great Design Teams that I love. Amazing Mold Putty and Creative PaperClay. I am learning so much and am so Blessed with the team members that are on there and our fearless leader Terri. She has allowed me to do as I please with the product and do my style of Art. I am so excited to continue working with her and making her proud!

  Today I got more great news and am on the Design Team at Things Crafty and their Things Crafty on their Ning site. I am so excited and thankful for this opportunity and a lot of what I do on a normal basis is included. I will be reviewing books, doing cool things with clay, knitting,  jewelry and many other things.

  As you all know this last year and a half have been horrible for me. Between my son committing suicide and the health issues that I have had, these teams and fellow members hold me up in ways I can’t explain! So Please–join the ning site and friend me. • CHEAP AND EASY TIPS TO MAKE AWESOME PRODUCTS FOR ART!

  I LOVE SAVING MONEY!!! Who doesn’t? There are some things I won’t compromise on but alot of things we sit and wish we can buy and use in our journals or Art and we just can’t. Today’s economy is down and some of us need to eat rather than Art. But not anymore!!! I made a video showing how to use alcohol inks on different papers and they work AND the best one how to make your own using ACRYLIC OR WATERCOLOR PAINTS!!!! OH NO SHE DIDN’T –OH YES I DID! I also show you how to make your own crackle using white school glue and acrylic paint. But instead of me talking and talking….Here is the video! Let me know what you think and show me stuff you make with them!!!! I hope you all have a Blessed weekend and do a bit of Art!
  

• Creative Paperclay Fossils

  I have been playing with Creative PaperClay for years. This month I had
  some of the mixture that I previously made into molding paste left over
  that I didn’t want to go to waste. While thinking about how I could use
  it, I remembered something I made with my son years ago for a
  project…. FOSSILS!

  After choosing which molds I wanted to
  use, I cut the tip off of the baggie that contained the watered down
  clay and squirted the mixture into molds. I let the clay dry for 2 days.

  The top part of the clay dried but it was still very wet
  underneath so I gently pushed down the dry part and smeared (for lack of
  better word) the clay that came up through the cracks. Finally, by day 4
  it was just where I wanted it to be. I pulled the pieces out and turned
  them over let the top finish drying overnight and were ready to be
  worked with.

  When I did the project with my son, we got real
  sand and glued it on foamboard to make a realistic scene. I am using
  masking tape and some colored chalk on paper to give you idea and show
  what it looks like and what you can do.

  The number of child
  projects you can use this for with are endless. You can coat these with
  3D Crystal Lacquer and put them in one of those chalk balls you can make
  for your child to open up or you can hide them in your yard or the sand
  box for the little ones to find!!!!
